Archive Manager is the EPOCH IPS (Integrated Product Suite) Automated Archiving and Product Generation solution for end-to-end management of satellite data and analysis product files within an EPOCH IPS Control Center. Archive Manager safely and consistently handles both short-term and long-term storage requirements for satellite archive data in an EPOCH IPS control center. In addition, the Archive Manager automatically creates the necessary analysis product files and statistical data files as new archive data are made available. These product files are immediately accessible by Integral Systems' Archive Browser and Extractor product (ABEe) for timely and accurate analysis. Archive Manager makes managing and integrating your Control Center data safe and easy.
Applications/Usage
System Administrators use the Archive Manager for file management and analysis product file generation within a Control Center. Archive Manager provides a scheduler and task activation capability to fully automate this process. Archive Manager is configured to archive satellite data files to an Archive Management server where the files are maintained for short-term and long-term storage. This data typically needs to reside on an EPOCH T&Ch server for a certain time period for immediate playback/display through EPOCH T&C. After this period expires Archive Manager removes the data files in order to keep the disk capacity of the server within normal operating limits. As new archive data is moved to the storage units. Archive Manager will automatically generate various products that can be used for analysis of satellite and ground system data.
An Integrated Solution
Archive Manager is fully compatible with the EPOCH T&C file formats. It can be scheduled to create data products readable by ISI's analysis and trending software, ABEh. The archive manager is also used to manage the disk resources on the EPOCH T&C servers. This involves moving archive files from the EPOCH T&C servers to the long term storage units and deleting old data on the T&C servers to make room for new data. The Archive Manager, together with EPOCH T&C and ABE, provide a complete and integrated solution for ground system archive data storage, product generation, and trends analysis.
